Atrial Septal Defect

The ECG of a patient with an atrial septal defect (ASD) should show a right bundle branch block (sometimes incomplete) due to the right ventricular volume/pressure overload that occurs. An ostium primum ASD would have left axis deviation as well while an ostium secundum ASD would have right axis deviation.
